Hello, everyone! Last Saturday (May 22nd), we started our Saturday Lifelong Studies Seminar at Kaisei. I’m in charge of the Challenge English class, and we had 20 kids from elementary schools in and around Matsue sign up for the course. Half were fifth graders and half were sixth graders, so we had an interesting group of kids there. Ms. Otsuki helped me out with the class, and for two hours, we did some English activities. First, we practiced self-introductions, and even though some of the kids were nervous, everybody did a really good job. We played a short game, and then practiced asking each other’s names. I think everybody had a fun time. I know I sure did.

　やあ、みんな！先週の土曜日（５月２２日）、開星で土曜生涯学習セミナーが始まった。私はチャレンジ・イングリッシュの講座を担当していて、松江市内やその周辺から２０人の小学生の申し込みがあった。半分は５年生で、半分は６年生で、楽しい子供たちの集まりだった。大月先生の手伝いがあって、二時間にわたり英語活動をした。まずは自己紹介の練習をしたが、何人かの子供たちは緊張していたにもかかわらず、みなが上手にできた。ちょっとしたゲームをしたあとに、お互いの名前を聞き合う練習もした。みなが楽しんだようだった。私はすごく楽しかったよ。【和文・英文：ダスティン　キッド】
